This is also the place you come to make your faction. In order to make a faction, there are certain requirements that you must meet first. They are listed in here. Moderator: Ran 2 2 on Jun 14, 2009, 12:46pm by Ran in The Factions Nenoroci -› The City Glass Avenue Glass Avenue runs directly through Nenoroci, cutting the city basically in half. Glass Avenue is where everything happens, where everyone goes when they need something. Built several years before the war started, its a very old looking street; cracks run all through it; the paint on it is starting to peel and the war was not nice to it. There are several large potholes in the street, some of them all the way down into the dirt beneath. On this street, there are several large buildings that the Factions fight to control. Moderators: Ran, Buddy-James Charles 0 0 "Playground" Road A twisted pile of rubble and pavement is all that is left of this road. The sign that once told what it was is contorted so that you can only see one word on it: "Road." However, off to the side of the street, there is a small park with a playground on it. Because the playground was barely touched during the war, with only a few trees uprooted, the street is called Playground Road by all. Ivy Alley NEUTRAL Ivy crawls over the sides of the two buildings that make up the walls of this alley, giving the small passageway between Playground and Third its name. This place does not have a good reputation at all; it connects to Third Street, the bad place for everything. This is not a place to be after dark, as bodies have been found here before in varying stages of decay. If you are caught here after dark, it might be wise to pull out a weapon and keep moving with your head down and eyes on the ground. Moderators: Ran, Buddy-James Charles 0 0 Third Street There used to be a system of numbered streets running through Nenoroci, a long time ago. Finally, citizens got bored of it and decided to rename some of them; Third Street is one of the original streets that they did not rename. It runs through Glass Avenue, and one of the main hotels sits on the corner of both of them. Third Street does not have a good reputation: drug deals, hookers, murders. All of these things have been known to happen here. This is a dangerous place for Faction people to go alone; they often get stabbed or worse around here. Moderators: Ran, Buddy-James Charles 2 2 on Jun 11, 2009, 2:54pm by Artavia Zereon [Bef] in Purchase Thread Thorn Drive Thorn Drive is called that for a reason; about a hundred years ago, well before the war, at the turn of the century, this street used to be called Rose Drive. There used to be a bunch of rose bushes along this road, making it smell nice and look nice. There was there the open market used to be, and kinda still is. However, once the war started, when Nenoroci became a place where soldiers were kept, the roses were taken away. The market became a place to get weapons, and still is. This is where the Factions come to get weaponry; its rather neutral and run by people who dont go in a Faction. The pipe system for several large buildings on this street run along under it; a bomb hit them during the war and they burst. Someone repaired them but they leak really bad; the street is starting to curmble because of the erosion casued by the slow leaking water. No one walks directly along this street, for fear of stepping in a weak spot and going through. The Faction people have nicknamed it "The Street Into Hell" because when you fall, you fall for a long time. Moderators: Ran, Buddy-James Charles 0 0 The Barren Bloodfeather Ponds This area could be considered a marsh of sorts, but with larger areas of water every ten meters or so. Walking here isn't all that difficult, but there are poisonous plants here that can kill any full-grown creature in about two hours. Careless eaters beware. But don't be discouraged, the water here is actually quite clean and safe to consume. Since people first started to inhabit this area after the war, there were always very large black ravens hanging about, eating whatever they could get ahold of that wasn't poisonous. Since then, most that wander through this territory watch the ravens to see what plants are safe to eat. More recently, these ravens have started very violent battles with each other. No one is quite sure why, but every once in a while, one may see a dead bird lying in one of the small ponds scattered across this territory. Moderator: Ran 0 0 Witchhead Forest Tall, wide trees with think branches block most light from the blistering sun overhead from entering this huge forest. This territory makes up about a third of the territory called The Barren by wanderers and those traveling to Profetica for various necessities. New types of animals and even aliens are said to live deep within the forest, but few believe the rumors. Forest animals have been seen in the past scurrying about, which must have somehow kept their species alive during the war. Small water sources can be found here after it rains, and after a long rain, the forest bears fruit and herbs that are very scarce anywhere else. This area is quite dry throughout most of the year, however, and forest fires are all but rare. This is said to be the most fertile lands in The Barren, which is a paradox in itself, but one of the most dangerous places for miles. Don't get caught here without a suitable weapon to defend yourself, or you may never leave. Moderator: Ran 0 0 Spark River The name tells all. This river was a dump for oil and other flammable substances during the war, and much of these substances are still prominent in the water, meaning that this water is most likely deadly to drink. The river used to flow to a small lake further southward, but it now lies stagnant after the lake dried up about five years ago. The river's water level slowly decreases every year, mostly because it has nowhere to go. Because of the oil and what not in the water, fires sprouting out of the stagnant water are a common sight for travelers and passers by. There is no real purpose for this river anymore because of it's toxicity, so it has been acknowledged as an important landmark in The Barren to assist those who might be lost in it's vast expanse. Moderator: Ran 0 0 Bullet Grove This small, flat area of land is almost completely covered in vegetation that is surprisingly thriving. The trees and bushes are almost growing out of control, and there's an explanation. During the war, a type of bullet was developed that was designed to cause cells to rapidly preform mitosis, much like a cancer. In humans, this would act quickly, crush organs, and kill the victim. In plants, it's quite different. A large infantry battle occurred here during the war, and the trees were pelted with these bullets, leaving small holes in the bark, which gave this grove of trees it's name. Don't be discouraged, for the plants that grow here and are suitably edible looking are completely safe. The food and herb resources from the plants here are half the reason Profetica has become a good place to buy such items. Moderator: Ran 0 0 Profetica -› Neutral Territory Goldenrod Way Goldenrod Way is the street that cuts Profetica in half, it's main road, running directly through the small town. Its also the street that has most of the buildings in the town on it, inlcuding a restaurant, small inn and city hall. Built back well before the war, like the rest of Profetica, it is still in fair condition. Profetica was one of those small towns that was left alone during the war, so most of the buildings are still usable. It is a nice street, very well taken care of and has an extremely good reputation. It was used, during the war, as a transportation street between Nenoroci and Profetica. One of the main buildings on it is a small clinic that still is used by the people who live here and by the citizens of Nenoroci. It still has usable medicine in it and a couple of people who are knowledgable about medicine. This is where people come to get things to survive. The street itself is in good condition, with nothing more than a few potholes in it. Moderators: Ran, Black 0 0 Skyline Parkway Running through both Edgewood and Goldenrod, Skyline Parkway is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the most beautiful of all the streets. Along is, small flowering trees grow, giving off a sweet scent and filling the air with the sounds of nesting birds. There are only a couple of buildings on this street, a small warehouse and a grocery store. The view from the warehouse is stunning and that is where the Skyline Parkway got its name.
